I will add more veggies to my meals. I have a love/hate relationship with veggies. As a child, I never craved carrots and celery. I always looked at veggies as an acquired taste that I did not have. But as I've gotten older, I've realized the importance of adding veggies to my meals.
Vegetables are indeed an acquired taste, but did you know that repeated exposure can lead to the development of your taste preferences towards veggies? A government study with rodents found that the proteins developed in saliva play a role in this process. We create these proteins with repeated exposure to the vegetables. So, if you're not a fan of veggies yet, don't give up! Keep trying! Let's keep preparing them in different ways and develop those proteins. Your body will thank you for it, and who knows, you might even end up loving the veggies!
Also, veggie lovers out there, any other advice is always appreciated! 😉
