November 2024 Goals

For me, I like to think of this month as a NO Excuses, NOvember. We only have two more months left in 2024, so it is time to finish strong and set ourselves up for the coming year!

I am selecting three main goals for November, which are focused on my mind, body, and relaxation, which is the perfect combination for living a balanced life.

Knowledge is Power

I am going to complete studying for my NASM Physique and Bodybuilding Coach Certification. I am super excited, and can't wait to incorporate what I've learned and share with you the latest science for achieving your dream body. Success is in the Belief You Can

This month, I will achieve a 4-minute plank hold! That feels a little crazy to say out loud as I've never done it before. But I know, I can do it! Last month, I made it a goal to hold a plank for 3 minutes, which was again something that I had never done before. When I completed it, the feeling of accomplishment was amazing.

It's important to note that everyone starts somewhere, so if you are reading this thinking there's no way you want to do a 4-minute plank hold...No worries! However, I would encourage you to set a fitness goal for yourself, maybe it's walking 30 minutes - 5 days a week, lifting a certain weight, or a 30-second plank hold. Any goal designed to push yourself past where you are currently at will give you a sense of accomplishment!

Disconnect to Connect

With the craziness of the holidays fast approaching, I want to make sure that I am grounded and taking time for myself. Relaxation means time away from my computer and cell phone, disconnecting to connect with myself. I plan to set aside time each day, whether it's for 90 seconds of deep breathing or setting aside time for an entire Sculptness® Flow to reconnect back to myself for a little relaxation.

Goals have a higher likelihood of being achieved when you tell them to someone who will check back in with you. The American Society of Training and Development did a study that found that those who had an accountability buddy were 65% more likely to achieve them. They also found that the statistic jumped to 95% when a person committed to regular accountability meetings to check their progress.
