How to Thrive in the New Year!

Happy New Year! May this be your best year yet! Starting a New Year is the perfect time to re-evaluate, check in with yourself, dream big, and determine what you want to accomplish!

Below are my four tips for thriving in the new year!

How to Thrive in the New Year!

Set Goals

This is your sign to take the time to write your goals for 2025 and beyond! Setting a goal is one of the most fundamental building blocks to living the life you want. Choosing not to set goals makes achieving what you want to accomplish that much harder since there isn't a clear direction. It would be like driving a car without a map and/or a destination, which might be fun for a little bit but eventually gets you lost and confused. It is important to note that sometimes, we need to explore or go on a mini map-less drive to determine what it is that we want, but once we have a pretty good idea, we need to take the next step, set a goal with our destination in mind, and map out how we are going to get there.

Take this time to get on Pinterest, look at magazines, create your vision board, and write out your goals!!

Embrace Grace

Sometimes, even with our most well-thought-out plans, we'll still run into the unexpected or the situation that didn't turn out the way we hoped. It's in those challenges we embrace grace and continue to move forward, even if we have to pivot. Personally, I have found plans and situations that didn't turn out how I originally wanted them to work actually worked in my favor, even when I didn't see it at the time. So my plan for 2025 is to embrace grace and a little faith that everything is constantly working out and will be better than I envisioned.

Love Growth

Fall in love with the journey and celebrate the small wins. For most of our goals, noticeable growth won't happen overnight. It will take time, but your dedication and perseverance will get you there. As a personal trainer, I encourage my clients to cherish all the little milestones and progress both big and small. When a client is starting out, it usually takes about 2 weeks of consistent working out for one to FEEL connected and strong in their body. That feeling of growth is contagious and will fuel you to take the next steps. Don't get too caught up in the destination that you forget to enjoy the journey!

Flourish in Gratitude

Gratitude is one of my biggest tips for flourishing in the new year! There is really something to gratitude. It seems to attract more gratitude, people, and situations that align with your positive energy. If you haven't implemented a practice of gratitude just yet, start small—it only takes a minute or two. Start a journal, write it down, say it out loud, and notice how you feel.

Have fun utilizing these four tips to help you thrive in the new year! ✨
