December 2024 Goals

Woo Hoo!! We have made it to the last month of 2024! I love this time of year. This is the last opportunity to check any remaining goals off your 2024 New Year's Resolution and reflect on how far you've come. 

I accomplished last month's goal of a 4-minute plank. I've never held a plank that long and all I can say is that it was a long 4-minutes... Time was holding still! LOL The phrase that came to mind while holding that plank was, "I didn't come this far, only to come this far." After the 3-minute mark, my body was shaking and the voice in my head was asking me if I really wanted to accomplish this. At that moment it would have been easy to stop but I knew I would be disappointed in myself if I had stopped short of the 4-minute goal. When we set goals that push our boundaries, it’s normal to feel uncomfortable but our inner cheerleader should pop up to remind us that we can do whatever we set out to accomplish!

Movement for the Body & Stillness for the Mind

With the holidays in full swing, it can be tougher to find the time to workout. I've created a Mini Sculptness® Express Program that will be released on Dec. 16th. There's no equipment needed for these workouts and the best part is you are in and out in about 15 minutes! In addition to focusing on staying active during December, I will also take time to provide my mind with stillness. It's amazing what 90 seconds of deep breathing can do for our nervous system.

Early Bird Gets the Worm

For December, I will wake up at 6 AM to get my day started Monday-Saturday and allow Sunday to be a rest day to regroup. The saying goes that, "the early bird gets the worm." I have so much I want to accomplish this month and will need all the time I can get! Starting my day off early is a great way to knock out the most important tasks. In the mornings, I am extremely focused. I have learned that if I plan it, I achieve it! If you are feeling stuck start planning your days, schedule your workouts, and start seeing the amazing transformation in your life.

The Most Important Project You'll Ever Work On is You

I will set aside time this month to create a new vision board and start writing out some of the goals that I want to accomplish in 2025!! You are truly the most important project that you will ever work on. So planning and envisioning the life you want to live is essential. It's also important to plant the seeds now so that you can harvest the fruit when you are ready. Our everyday actions and habits significantly influence our lives, so if you would like to make a change, I would suggest making small changes to your daily habits. These small actions can have a big impact over time. To accomplish larger and more complex goals, I use the chunking method where I break my bigger goal into smaller goals/steps so that I can strategically accomplish the bigger goal.
